Pai Gow Poker and Tiles

Pai Gow Poker
Double hand poker is played with a standard 52-card deck and one Joker for a total of 53 cards. The joker may be used to complete a straight or flush, or as an ace.
Each player is given seven cards.  Players then "set" their hand into a five card hand and a two card hand.  The object of the game is to beat the banker's hand, which is set in the same manner.  Five card hands are valued using traditional poker rankings while the two card hands are valued by high cards and pairs.
Once all players have set their hands, the banker's hand is revealed.  It is set according to a predetermined "house way."  The player's hand is then compared to the banker's hand.  If the five card and two card hands are both higher in value than the banker's hand, the player wins.  If both are lower, the player loses. If one is higher, and one is lower, it is a push with no winner or loser.  If two individual hands are of the same value, the banker's hand is the winner.
Every player is offered the opportunity to be the banker. This option is rotated around the table clockwise.
Pai Gow Tiles
The ancient game of Pai Gow is played using Chinese tiles similar in appearance to American dominoes. There are 16 pairs, for a total of 32 tiles.
Each player is given four tiles that are to be set into two two-tile hands.  The dealer or Customer Service Rep. may offer assistance in setting the hand.  The object of the game is to beat the banker's hand, which is set in the same manner.  The hands are valued based on a rankings chart that has been used for centuries.
